Mark Pre-School has been rated as Good by Ofsted and is proud to be part of the Wessex Learning Trust family of schools. Our pre-school has been running for more than 25 years. We pride ourselves on fostering close links with parents and carers in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and we want you to feel welcome because we know your child will benefit from the communication we share. All children attending our pre-school will have a personal on-line Learning Journey which records photos, videos, observations and comments to build up a record of your child’s experiences during their time with us. We use Tapestry, a system, which is hosted in the UK on secure servers (more information and a permission form will be given with your child’s welcome pack). Our play-based activities promote self-development and nurture individualism. Children in our care get help and support to promote the development of knowledge, skills, understanding and confidence. We encourage a positive attitude in an atmosphere of mutual respect in which children can feel safe and valued. We are part of Mark First School CE Academy and share the school’s fantastic facilities like their Hall, Library, Outdoor Classroom and Pond Area and provide transition opportunities so that your child becomes familiar with new settings. By working closely with our Mark First Church of England Academy and child support agencies we can ensure that your child is ready for the big step into full-time education.
