The Project
Stickerzilla is a rapidly growing company that provides stickers for businesses and organisations, including bespoke signage and health and safety around the office and workplace, customised stickers to have around the home and fun stickers for children.
The Challenge
Located in a busy and expensive city centre, Stickerzilla needed to consider options to relocate to facilitate the growth of the company. The company needed to find the right mix of office space and industrial space to enable the company to continue its customised design services, while housing specialist equipment to develop new products and increase their client base.
The Solution
Barle Enterprise Centre, the new home to Stickerzilla, provides cost-effective and excellent value-for-money premises for the company. The industrial unit provides enough floor space for office space and printing and storage space.
Paul Weeks, Owner of Stickerzilla, said: I had looked at several options when we were looking to relocate but none of them matched up to the offer at Barle. We were able to adapt the unit to meet our needs, which was important to help the business achieve its aims to grow and diversify our product range.
By separating the unit, Stickerzilla has a smart office space where they can meet clients discuss their customisation and personalisation needs and work on the design. The larger production space has enabled the addition of new printers, which has increased productivity and the range of products available.
Benefits
- Cost effective business space to support business growth
- Modern units with space to expand
- Part of the local business community
Results
- Increased turnover invested back into the business to continue growth
- Additional print equipment, increasing capacity and productivity
- Employing more staff to meet the increase in demand
The Results
Paul continued: Being able to increase our capacity has seen the business’s turnover grow steadily with the business. This has meant that I have been able to invest back into the business to have the latest equipment and increase our product lines, reaching new customers across Europe.
As the business becomes more established in the print and design market, we are beginning to see greater orders and repeat orders from very satisfied customers. It has been great to be able to add to the team and we now have an apprentice designer and a packaging and distribution co-ordinator.
The successful growth of the business has meant that Paul has been able to employ more people and focus on his business strategy and how they can grow further. Paul is currently looking at working with Fulfilment by Amazon to support the storage, packing and shipping of his products. Stickerzilla has also employed an apprentice, who is undertaking a two-year design vocation at Petroc College in Tiverton.
