Introduction

Anyone who wishes to keep or train animals for exhibition must get a licence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

This includes mobile collections of animals – for example pony parties, and collections of reptiles taken to schools and events.

Report an unlicensed animal exhibitor

If you know or suspect someone is exhibiting animals without a licence, you can report it to us by using our complaints form.

We will investigate reports to check if the premises has a licence.
