Introduction

We are improving our payment systems. This will help you to manage your payments and services anytime, online or by phone.

Our phone and online payment systems will be unavailable from 11.59pm Tuesday 26 November to Wednesday 4 December during the improvements.

Ways to pay

While the phone and online payment systems are not available, you can still pay in these ways.

  • Pay bus gates and parking fines by bank transfer.
  • Pay invoices by bank transfer.
  • Pay your Council Tax by bank transfer using the bank details for your area on the Pay your Council Tax page. Or you can pay at any Post Office or a PayPoint free of charge using the barcode on the front of your bill. Always keep your receipt as proof of payment.
  • Pay housing and garage rents and Business Rates at the Post Office or a PayPoint.

You can find your nearest Post Office or PayPoint outlet using the allpay website. You will need a valid reference number to make a payment.

About the improvements

From Thursday, 5 December, you will be automatically transferred to the new online and phone systems. You will be able to pay for invoices, such as a Somerset Lifeline subscription, Council Tax, business rates, housing rents and parking fines anytime.

The easiest and fastest way to pay for most council services is online.
