Care and Repair Agencies
Care and Repair Agencies give information and practical advice to disabled and older people, whether you are an owner occupier or living in rented accommodation. They can help you to get access to local authority funding where appropriate, or organise repairs and adaptations to your home. They run a handyman service for minor repairs such as small plumbing or electrical jobs, repair locks, windows and small items of furniture. The also fit smoke alarms. Some agencies have a separate service for gardening or decorating. Contact Signposts for details.
