Somerset County Mobile Library

Mobile Library Service

There are 6 mobile libraries that provide a service to rural parts of the county. Five are based at Bridgwater, Minehead, Taunton, Wells and Wincanton libraries. The new Somerset County Mobile is based at our Adminsitration Centre in Bridgwater.

There is a selection of books on many subjects, novels, large print books and books for children available and other materials, such as DVDs, music CDs can be borrowed on request. We are introducing a selection of talking books and videos. These are exchanged at regular intervals with those from other libraries.
You can also access the Internet on the mobile libraries, please ask the mobile library driver for help.
Wheelchair access is available on all 6 vehicles. The mobile library driver will help you get on and off the vehicle.
