Teenage Book Award Presentation Teenage Book Award winning books Teeange Book Award winners
Students gathered to celebrate the Winner the 2007 Teenage Book Award at Langport Library. The Chair of the School Library Association, Somerset, accepted the award on behalf of Anthony Horowitz, who sent the following message

This is a terrific award and I'm really very grateful, particularly as you have chosen a book which is less well-known than the Alex Rider series but which perhaps means even more to me. In many ways I thought Nightrise the best book I'd ever written...so it's hugely encouraging to find so many readers who agree.
I'm really sorry I can't be with you today to pick up this generous award! I'm head down in London finishing Necropolis (Volume 4). But I will ask Walker Books to send me your way when Necropolis is published later this year and will hope to meet some of the people who voted for me then.

The trophy, which takes the form of a pile of books, will remain on view in Langport Library

Check back for details of how to vote for the next award from September 2008.
